On Sunday, 21 January 2007 Ellenborough Table Tennis Club proudly re-opened after refurbishment with a Premier British League event involving eight of the best teams from around the country. After a full day of top class table tennis, enjoyed by many guests, members and friends of the club, the evening was given over to a reception in honour of those who had helped in any way to enable the new facilities to become a reality.  

Amongst those present to enjoy the event were the Mayor and Mayoress of Enfield, Tony Dey and Mrs Dey, along with local MP, Joan Ryan. Other guests included Lord Bryan Davies, President of Ellenborough TTC; Councillors, Anne Marie Pearce, Peter Conisbee, Alex Murdoch, Chairman of the English Table Tennis Association and other ETTA officials; Michael Close, Chairman of Middlesex Table Tennis Association and many other friends of the club.  

Chairman David Hope thanked everyone present for supporting the club’s efforts in improving the premises, which had taken a great deal of effort by the club’s committee and many others. The Mayor of Enfield, Tony Dey spoke of his delight at the new facilities. Alex Murdoch, Chairman of the ETTA, also congratulated the club on its success.
