Supporter Fund Member

Dear Supporters Fund member,                                                                                                       

I can only say that every time I visit Ellenborough there seem to me even more people in the lounge/bar and the playing area is always full.   I am told that at coaching sessions they put up 14 tables – just no room for any more.     May be we can be looking for 300 members next season who knows!!!
We had our latest draw on the 16th February at a recently held Committee meeting and the lucky winners were as follows:

First prize No.51 - £100.00 to Derek Balding – not now a playing member of Ellenborough but when he was he spent many hours behind the bar as a bar steward and was much appreciated.

Second prize No.126 - £50.00 to Bob Bridges – a name from the past, many of you will remember Bob and June his sister – they both support this fund – I believe June is living in France now.

Third prize No.36 - £25.00 to Jack Melnick – a Vice President and friend of Middlesex County.

 Congratulations to all of you.  The next draw will be at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 21st May at the  clubhouse.

This has to be a short letter, just no more time to give at present.   I would like to add – we lost a few members this month, so because it is difficult for me to recruit new members from a distance, I wrote to all our new juniors’ parents hoping they might like to join – we shall see.    Also I believe George Brown has passed some forms to the O’50 Group – lets hope we keep our numbers up.
