Weekend 2 Junior British League, Derby Arena
2nd/3rd February 2019

Millie Rogove
Samadhi Udamulla
Connie Reynolds
Scarlett Anders

The team had a very good first day winning all their three matches. This was Connie Reynolds first taste of JBL and she played very well against some seasoned JBL campaigners. We ended the first day of competition one point behind the leaders in Division 1 from the November competition.

The second day of competition was not so good, not sure if they had a rave up the night before (joke), but we lost our two remaining matches. Our star player Millie Rogove, who has played in many JBL competitions, as well as European competitions maintained her good form, and ended the competition with the highest winning average in Division 1 of 90%, followed by Samadhi Udamulla with 72%.

It was nice to see Samadhi, Connie and Millie’s parents attending the competition and supporting the team.

Hopefully our team will be more experienced next year and we can win the Division.

I noticed two of our players from last year, when we were in the Premier Division, now still playing in the Premier Division for Kingfisher. They live far from Ellenborough, Jasmin Wong an ex Ellenborough member lives in Yorkshire.
